Indian co-stars pray for peace to Jade Goody's soul

Mumbai, Mar 23 (ANI): Indian co-stars who worked with British television star Jade Goody in the Indian version of 'Big Brother' recalled the short time spent with her and prayed for peace to her soul.

'Big Boss' winner Ashutosh Kaushik recalled that Goody behaved like a doll during the show.

"Nobody can make out the other's personality in a matter of three days, but the three days she spent with us were really nice. She spent the time like a doll, like a kid in the house," said Kaushik.

Raja Chaudhary, Big Boss runner-u, said: " I never found that she's a girl who picks quarrel with anybody or has enmity towards others. I found her a very sweet girl."

"May god give peace to her soul," said Preity Zinta, a Bollywood actor.

It was during an appearance on 'Big Boss' in August last year that she learned she had cervical cancer. She dropped out of the show to return to Britain for treatment and later learned the cancer was terminal.

During the show, she made racist remarks about a fellow star - the Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty.

For a while Goody was vilified for her behaviour on the show, but she was able to make amends when she travelled to India.

The 27 year-old mother of two, who married her boyfriend Jack Tweedy last month, died in her sleep at her home in Essex, southeast England on Sunday.

Her final days were closely chronicled in the media - including her marriage to boyfriend Jack Tweedy.

OK! Magazine reportedly paid more than a million dollars for the wedding photos.

Goody said her motive was to assure the future of her two young sons.

Just six months after she was diagnosed, Goody was told the cancer had spread to her liver, bowel and groin and was terminal.

By the end of her short life, she had built up a healthy nest egg for her boys and raised awareness of the disease. (ANI)
