Sherry urges Gilani to take government, PPP along
Karachi, Mar 20 (ANI): Pakistan's former Information and Broadcasting Minister Sherry Rehman on Friday said that the PPP-led Government was passing through a difficult phase and it was the responsibility of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani to take the government and the party along.
Addressing the party's workers on her arrival at the Karachi airport, she clarified that she had resigned from the ministry and not from the party.
She called upon the workers to stand by their party instead of being disappointed.
"Being a party's activist, I will continue my struggle for the welfare of people in accordance with the philosophy of martyred PPP leader Benazir Bhutto," she said.
To a question, Sherry said that Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and 'Jiyalas' should safeguard both the government and the party. (ANI)
