World's first colour e-book from Fujitsu
Tokyo, Mar 19: World's first e-book with a colour display was launched by Fujitsu on Thursday, Mar 19 in Japan. Known as 'FLEPia' the e-book can be used with a separate memory card and can store the equivalent of 5,000 traditional books.
The gadget which weighs about 385 grams (13.5 ounces) and is 12.5 millimetres thick has a 20 centimetre 'electronic paper' which can show maximum of 260,000 colours.
When fully charged the e-book can operate upto 40 hours and is equpped with Bluetooth and high-speed wireless LAN. World's first colour e-book comes with a price tag of 99,750 yen (about $1,000).
