IBM to buy Sun Microsystems?
New Delhi, Mar 18: Reports suggest that IBM Corp is in talks to buy Sun Microsystems in a deal that would expand its server market share. A report in the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) says that the combination of IBM and Sun would complement their strengths.
WSJ reports that IBM may pay as much as $6.5 billion in cash for Sun Microsystems if the deal is through. Both IBM and Sun are strong supporters of open-source Linux and Java software.
