Sonia Gandhi key to secular govt: Amar Singh
Lucknow, Mar 15: Playing the role of perfect politician Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh said a secular government without Sonia Gandhi is impossible. He questioned the credentials of the newly formed 'Third Front'.
“For them (Third Front) being secular and communal is like changing clothes. A secular government without Sonia Gandhi is next to impossible. And this should not be considered as a sycophancy, it is a harsh fact in the country's politics," Amar said, while addressing a convention of SP's youth wings.
He said that all the parties who have constituted the 'Third Front' were at some or the other time allies of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which he termed as a communal party.
