No secular govt. can be formed without UPA: Paswan
New Delhi, Mar 13 (ANI): Union Steel Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) Chief Ram Vilas Paswan on Friday said that no secular government could be possible without the United Progressive Alliance (UPA).
"No secular government is possible minus UPA support. Either Congress will support Third Front or Third Front will support Congress, if a non-NDA government is to be formed," Paswan told reporters here.
The Union Minister also attacked on the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati and said those who were proposing her name for the prime ministership would be her strongest critics in future.
"Any front in which there is Mayawati cannot last long. It will soon fall apart," he said.
Paswan claimed that the main battle would be between the UPA and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
When asked about the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Chief Sharad Pawar's candidature for Prime Minister's post, Paswan said the Union Agriculture Minister was a senior leader of the UPA.
The Steel Minister alleged the NDA is getting weaker day by day as its allies were leaving it one by one. (ANI)
