Liverpool's Degen sustains groin injury

By Super Admin

London, Mar 13: Liverpool defender Philipp Degen may have scored on his return from injury last night, but had to limp off with a groin strain. The Swiss international had not played since the trip to Spurs in December.

He made his comeback from a damaged ankle in a 2-2 reserve team draw with Manchester United in front of 3,955 fans in Warrington.

Degen took just five minutes to tap into an empty net after a defensive mix-up. But 20 minutes later he limped off with a fresh injury, reports The Sun.
