New Delhi, Mar 12: Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari convened an urgent meeting regarding the breakdown of peace in the country, as soon as he returned to Islamabad from Tehran, where he was on a state visit.
The meeting will be held at the Presidency with Prime Minister Gilani, top PML-Q leaders as well as the Governor of Punjab, Salman Tahsir.
The topics of discussion would be the Governor's rule imposed in Punjab where PML-N leader, Nawaz Sharif has a strong hold and the long march by lawyers led by Nawaz Sharif planned on Mar 16. The march has been organised demanding reinstatement of the sacked judges by former President, Pervez Musharraf.
Gilani had earlier confirmed that there was no need of a Governor's rule in Punjab province, while addressing senators in remarks seen at variance with the position taken by Zardari.
