Kolkata, Mar 12 (ANI): Happy over the seat adjustment with the Congress Party in West Bengal for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls, Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee today took the poll fervor one step ahead by appealing to all regional parties across the country to forsake the CPI (M) and not join the purported Third Front.

Banerjee said the CPI (M) had a 32-year history of misrule and bloodshed in West Bengal and all those regional parties and friends of friends who had supported the movement of the farmers in Nandigram should take cognizance of this fact before joining hands with the Left Front.

Addressing the media at her Kolkata residence, Banerjee thanked the Congress for agreeing to the pre-poll seat adjustment of 28-14 , where 28 seats will be contested by Trinamool and rest by the Congress.

The Congress announcement was made in Delhi earlier today. The Trinamool leader said it was the aspiration of the people of Bengal that the opposition fought the CPI (M) jointly and this seat adjustment respected the wishes of the people of Bengal who want an end to the misrule of the Left Front in the state.

Banerjee also announced the Trinamool Congress candidate list today. Of the 28 seats the party will leave the Joynagar seat for ally SUCI. (ANI)
