Recession: Sony Pictures to layoff 350 jobs
Bangalore, Mar 11: Hit by global recession Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc, the movie studio subsidiary of the Japanese electronics maker is planning to layoff 350 jobs.
About 250 people will be laid off and nearly 100 positions will be eliminated as a part of its cost cutting measure. On Tuesday, Mar 10 Michael Lynton, the Chief Executive and Studio CO-chair Amy Pascal announced 3.5 pc job cuts worldwide. 150 people will be laid off in United States alone specially in Los Angeles. The company also has plans not to fill 100 positions.
