Bhubaneswar, Mar 11: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) government led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in Orissa will face the floor test on Wednesday, Mar 11. Naveen Patnaik requires the support of 74 MLAs to prove majority in the 147 member Assembly. If he failed to prove majority, will loose his Chief Ministership.

The BJP which ended 11 year alliance with BJD, has asked to vote against the government, but 3 of its MLAs have already decided to go against the party's whip. BJD also has arranged some Congress party which is likely to abstain from voting in case any of the Independents stay away.

Sources in the Congress said that it will not commit the sin of voting along with the BJP to oust a secular party. However BJP on the otherhand accused Congress of conspiring against the party which led to the break-up with BJD.
