Medical student beaten to death by seniors in HP

New Delhi, Mar 10: Giving shock to the nation a 19-year-old medical student was brutally beaten to death allegedly by his seniors. Aman Kachroo who enrolled at the Rajendra Prasad Medical College in Kangra of Himachal Pradesh in last Aug had complained that he was being ragged to his parents and the college authorities.

Aman who hailed from Gurgaon, filed a written complaint to the college authorities of ragging by fully drunk third-year students. After he filed the complaint he was reportedly beaten severely by his seniors. The former Delhi Public School student later succumbed to his injuries.

Reports suggest that Aman was ragged as he was not a local. The college administration which tried to pass off the death as a suicide, now rusticated four students suspected to be involved, after the incident became public. HP government suspended the hostel warden and manager and the Principal of the college resigned.
