TV footage depicts poor security for SL team

Lahore, Mar 5: The new footage telecasted by Pakstani television channels depicts the poor security provided by Pakistan for the Sri Lankan cricketers.The footage shows the Lahore gunmen calmly walking away from the scene of their ambush.

Geo TV aired the new footage of three suspected terrorists with backpacks, one on a motorcycle, scurrying into a by-lane near the Liberty Chowk.

The footage revealed that attackers carried out the heinous act with full impunity. They started firing indiscriminately on cricketers" bus at 8.39 am on Tuesday, Mar 3 and managed to flee from the spot at 8.46 am.

The attackers, as shown in the footage, faced no hindrance and kept lurking about Liberty Chowk area freely. They came via Firdous market and used the same route for exit, the TV channel said.

A third group of three could be seen walking on the street without fear of being pursued or stopped. The footage also showed some of the men dumping their rucksacks on the street.

Though police detained more than 50 suspects in this regard, it is still struggling for a breakthrough for the incident.
