Indian inflation falls to 3.03 pc
New Delhi, Mar 5: Indian inflation declined further to 3.03 pc for the week ended Feb 21 as a result of reduction in the prices of food articles such as fruits and vegetables and tea and some manufactured items. It was 3.36 pc in the previous week, while it was 5.69 pc during in 2008.
Headline inflation rates were out a day after Reserve Bank of India reduced the key policy rates by 50 basis points which may result in further decline in interest rates. The Wholesale Price Index (WPI) based inflation fell for the 5th week in a row.
