New Delhi, Mar 3 (ANI): Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister Ivailo Kalfin on Tuesday condemned the attack on Sri Lankan cricketers in Pakistan.alfin, who also holds the charge of the foreign minister, is on an official visit to India, said Pakistan should dismantle the terror infrastructure on its soil.
"We have strongly condemned all the terrorist activities and all the terrorist attacks, including the Mumbai attack. What happened today in Pakistan, is something which is another reason to believe that all the countries in the region have to take all necessary measures and to cooperate in order to eradicate any possibility for organizing terrorist activities in their countries or in their neighbouring countries," Kalfin said.
Kalfin also urged the South-Asian countries on this occasion to cooperate to fight the menace of terror.
At least six Sri Lankan cricketers were injured and five police personnel died on Tuesday morning in a firing near Gaddafi stadium in Lahore, Pakistan. The injured players include Ajantha Mendis, Tharanga Paranavitana, Thilan Samaraweera, Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene.
The Lankan team was airlifted from Gaddafi Stadium to the Lahore airport by a Pakistan Air Force helicopter on their way back home to Colombo.
It was the first major attack on an international sporting team sincePalestinian militants attacked Israeli athletes at the 1972 Olympics in Munich. (ANI)
