A group of school students from Sikkim call on Chidambaram
New Delhi, Mar 3 (ANI): A group of school students from Sikkim met Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram today.
In his interaction, Chidambaram exhorted the students to work hard, study well and enter the various disciplines of public life and be an instrument in elevating Sikkim and the country to higher level of development.
The students shared their experiences with the Home Minister and sought his esteemed advice.
The Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) had arranged an excursion of these students under the civic action and border area development programme.
DG ITBP, Vikram Srivastava, who introduced these boys with Home Minister, said, "Today's interaction will definitely have a permanent inspiring effect on these boys. I hope this will help in shaping the destiny of these fortunate boys."
Srivastava informed that such tour of students would continue from remote villages of border area of North-East Region. (ANI)
