RLD, NDA will together fight LS polls in UP
Lucknow, Mar 2: As Lok Sabha elections are nearing, party alliances are on the threshold. Ajit Singh-led Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) on Monday, Mar 2 announced the joining of the NDA fold and work towards a change in government in the Centre and in Uttar Pradesh.
The alliance is to bring an end the misrule of BSP and SP in Uttar Pradesh, said senior BJP leader L K Advani on Monday, Mar 2.
BJP chief Rajnath Singh is a candidate from Ghaziabad in the Uttar Pradesh region.
"With RLD joining us, NDA has become the biggest and the most credible platform for the farmers and other sections of the society. Ajit Singh's joining would further strengthen the pro-people alliance in the country," NDA acting convener and JD(U) chief Sharad Yadav said on the occasion.
