London, February 28 (ANI): Watching Dev Patel's success in the film 'Slumdog Millionaire', one of his co-stars in the BAFTA-winning comedic teen drama 'Skin' is now hoping that he may also get a big break in Hollywood.

Actor Luke Pasqualino, best known for his role as Freddie Mclair in Skins, says that Dev's success has put the show under the spotlight in recent weeks.

"I was at an NME awards do the other night and a reporter asked why I was there. The only thing I could say was 'why do you think? The other dark skinned one is collecting an Oscar in LA!'" the Sun quoted the 19-year-old as saying.

"It's amazing that just a few years ago he was in the same position as I am now," he added.

Luke, however, revealed that he had yet to see 'Slumdog Millionaire'.

"I've heard so many good things, it's high time I schedule in some time to see it!" he said.

"I've met Dev loads through the show last year and he's a great guy - I'm sure he knows how full-on this fame lark is and he'll forgive me for not getting round to it yet," he added.

He even said that the multiple award-winning success of Dev's film might have generated new opportunities for many English talents.

"Although there is nothing massively on the horizon just yet, I'll be filming another series of Skins and then who knows?" he said.

"We are all benefitting from Dev's success in the USA. When you tell people you are in Skins, they literally think the sun shines out of your proverbial.

"All of the cast were treated really well out there and we met hundreds of important people," he added. (ANI)
