Major bus accident kills 28 in Jammu Kashmir

Doda, Feb 25: In a major bus accident, atleast 28 people are feared dead in Jammu Kashmir on Wednesday, Feb 25. The bus skidded off the road and plunged into Chenab river near Pul Doda, 170 kms from Jammu, in Doda district.

The bus has fallen into a 300 ft gorge and a major operation has been launched by the army and police in Nalti area.

Rescue teams had rushed to the spot and took the bodies to the nearby hospital. The bus, with 30 people on board, fell into the stream near Pul Doda at 8.15 am, police said, adding the bus was on its way to Jammu from Bhaderwah.
