Mumbai, Feb 25: Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray refused to meet Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Prime Ministerial Candidate LK Advani on Tuesday, Feb 24 in Mumbai. Sena sources said that a meeting could not be fixed at a short notice.

Rumours are running high that there is strain in BJP-Sena relations after the recent National Congress Party (NCP)-Sena alliance. Shiv Sena is the oldest alliance partner of National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Sena sources added that the BJP leaders who were in city for collecting Rs 11 crore election funds could have intimated earlier instead of contacting at the last moment, as they were aware of Bal Thackeray's fixed daily routine.

However, the BJP spokesperson Madhav Bhandari said that his party did not seek an appointment with Thackeray and romours are baseless. It seems more troubles are awaiting BJP as the Lok Sabha polls are nearing.
