New Delhi, Feb 24: With the Congress choosing its Prime Ministerial candidate to be Manmohan Singh, Congress General Rahul Gandhi said he has no chance of becoming the Prime Minister even if the party returns to power in the the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
"No chance. The Congress has already decided on incumbent Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as the UPA candidate for the post. The question does not arise," Rahul said during his interaction with the tribals on Sunday, Feb 22.
Rahul ended his two-day tour of Gujarat on Monday, Feb 23 evening. He first visited the Ambaji Temple in north Gujarat early in the morning, then went to Gandhinagar where he inspected an enrollment drive by the Youth Congress. He then went to Youth Congress enrolment booth in the Khanapur area in Banaskantha and met the people who had lined up to join the party.
