Muslim groups should issue fatwa on terror: VHP
New Delhi, Feb 22: Vishwa Hindu Parishad, urged the Muslim clerics of India to issue a fatwa declaring that 'jihad' or holy war cannot be waged against India. In a letter to 13 Muslim organisations in India, the VHP's Dharma Raksha Manch requested to declare India a'Dar-Ul-Amen' or pure state.
VHP said that Hindus are not infidels. In its letter VHP cited the Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorists citing religious dictum to justify terror attacks on Ahmedabad and Delhi. VHP went on to say that if the Muslim organisations agree it can make the holy war against India unnecessary giving a blow to Islamic terror organisations.
