Manmohan Singh ready to resume work: Doctors
New Delhi, Feb 22: Doctors attending to Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh said that he is fit to resume work. Dr Vijay D'silva, the ICU specialist said that PM's recovery time is over. He is now more or less independent and can resume work.
Prime Minister underwent a 'redo' coronary artery bypass surgery at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Jan 24. Doctors removed five blockages in his heart. Manmohan Singh was discharged from the hospital on Feb 1. For one more week the PM need to follow diet restrictions and will have to undergo physiotherapy and exercises for another one week.
