Washington, Feb 19 (ANI): American musician Prince had no plans to host a post Oscar bash until he read about it in newspapers.
The 50-year-old star was rehearsing when he saw a story that claimed he was throwing "the Oscar bash of the century."
He finally decided to host a party after Marion Cotillard, who won last year's Oscar for Best Actress, called to RSVP to 'the Purple Party', reports Usmagazine.com
He will also allow a film crew to record the whole event for release on his upcoming website, LotusFlow3r.com.
The rocker had played host to Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Sean Penn and the night's Oscar winners Cotillard, Tilda Swinton and Javier Bardem in 2008. (ANI)
