Obama signs $787 bn stimulus bill
Washington, Feb 18: The much awaited $787 economic stimulus package was signed by the US President Barack Obama into law on The bailout package is expected to rejuvenate the US economy as it will pump money into infrastructure projects, healthcare, renewable energy development and conversation. This move is expected to create 4 million jobs in United States.
Just minutes before sigining the bill Obama said that US has begun the essential work to 'keep Americans dream alive'. He also warned the Americans not to dream of overnight miracles after siging the bill, and said that the nation has a long way to go to revive economy.
However, a confusion prevails among the Indians regarding job opportunities in US, as an amendment in the stimulus bill prevents companies from hiring H1B visa holders. Majority of the H1B visa holders are Indians
