Pune: Low intensity blast in a State transport bus

Pune, Feb 17: A low intensity blast took place on Monday, Feb 16 night in a State Transport bus at Manchar terminus. The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) rushed to the spot to investigate the site.

Gelatin sticks were used in the device and had been kept in the back rows of the bus. The bus was stationed during the tome of the blast. Neither any causalities nor injuries have been reported.

"We are carrying on parallel investigation with police to know whether the act was a mischief to create panic by local culprits or was handiwork of other suspected elements," Peter Lobo, an ATS officer added.
