London, February 16 (ANI): Controversial comic Russell Brand has called off three shows owing to a throat infection.
The 33-year-old has rescheduled his performances at the Hammersmith Apollo and the Clyde Auditorium in Glasgow, Scotland, following doctors' advise.
"I will make it up to everyone at the rescheduled gigs... I'm in bed, very confused, at the specialist's insistence," the Daily Express quoted him as saying in a statement.
"I'm alone - except for the cat, who I'm thinking of putting a bikini on - it must be the fever!" he added.
The radio presenter had landed in hot water with fellow prankster Jonathan Ross over the Andrew Sachs row, which led to his resignation from the BBC after he boasted about sleeping with the 78-year-old's granddaughter. (ANI)
