Taliban execute Afghan 'spy' in NWF
Miramshah (NWFP, Pakistan), Feb.15 (ANI): An Afghan was shot dead on Sunday by Taliban militants here on charges that he had spied for the United States.
According to officials, the militants dumped the body of Imdad Khan, 35, by the roadside in the village of Karamkot, 20 kilometres east of Miramshah, the main town in North Waziristan.
The Dawn quoted a security official as saying that the victim was an Afghan refugee.
A note found on the bullet-riddled body said he was 'spying for the US', the official said.
Residents said the note also carried warning to locals not remove the body until late afternoon so that a maximum number of people could see that 'this is the fate of spies.' (ANI)
