Anthony, LTTE chief's son commanding forces
Colombo, Feb 15: In a new revelation it is learnt that LTTE supremo Velupillai Prabhakaran's son Charles Anthony is commanding a contingent of the Tamil Tigers alongside other top rebel leaders like Banu and Lakshman. Reports suggest that Anthony, who returned from Ireland in 2006, is believed to have got a degree in aeronautical engineering and is heading the air wing and computer unit of LTTE.
Sources say that it is Anthony who played a key role in building the LTTE air wing which conducted a night raid on Sri Lankan military air base inside Colombo international airport in March 2007 shocking the world. The new revelations came from two black tigers who surrendered to the troops at Therumurukandy on Jan 28 this year after they failed in their attempts to bomb the bund of the Iranamadu Tank.
They said to the Sunday Observer that Antony and LTTE Sea Tiger chied Soosai, had briefed them on the mission, for an underwater demolition on Jan 20, but they, who were fed up with the 'behaviour' of the group's leadership, decided to surrender reports the paper. The rebels also said that LTTE chief Prabhakaran was still in Wanni area in North. The LTTE supremo has two other children, a daughter named Dhuwraha in her 20's and another teenager son Balachandran.
