112 arrested for railway recruitment paper leak
Jaipur, Feb 15 (ANI): At least 112 people have been arrested for allegedly leaking question papers of a Railway recruitment examination that was scheduled for Sunday.
As many as 75,000 candidates were scheduled to appear in the examination which was cancelled in five districts in Rajasthan -Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Ajmer and Bikaner.
The examinations were being held for the post of Assistant Station Master (ASM) Railways. In a joint operation with Rajasthan Special Operations Group and Bhopal Police, 112 people have been arrested in connection with paper leak of the RRB examination. While 14 gang members and 93 aspirants were arrested from Jaipur, rest were arrested from Bhopal," said Uttar Pradesh Senior Superintendent Amitabh Yash.
Yash informed that police received information about a well-connected gang operating across the country being involved in the leaking of question papers conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board.
Acting on the information, raids were carried out by the Special Operations Group of the Rajasthan Police assisted by UP and Bihar Police. The gang members included some former and current railway employees.
The police are still interrogating people involved with the scam. (ANI)
