When quizzed about joining politics, Tharoor said that he was not running for anything, but if the opportunity came, he would consider very seriously because in a democracy politics is the means of bringing about a change for the country.
"I have indeed been having some serious conversations about entering politics. Now (that) I have left the UN, I have an opportunity to put my feet where my mouth used to be," Tharoor said.
Tharoor said the Congress and the Government of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh were right while dealing with the big issues the country was facing today. And his natural ideology didn't match with that of other Indian parties.&13;
