Kolkata, Feb 11: Adding a new twist to sensational Rizwanur murder case, one of the key witness and the 'first information officer' in the case Arindam Manna was found dead on a railway track in Hooghly.

Manna's body was found laying on Mankundu station railway track with a slit on his throat at around 8.30 am on Wednesday, Feb 11. Rizwanur was found dead in the same manner in Sep 2007. Manna the first investigating officer in the case had later turned as witness.

Police believe it is a case of murder. Manna was posted with General Railway Police, and had begun investigation in the Rizwanur Rehman case. On Jan 16, the Supreme Court of India has granted bail to Kolkata industialists, Ashok Kumar Todi and Pradeep Kumar Todi the key accused in the case.

A Bench of Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan and P Sathasivam rejected the CBI's argument that the accused will influence the probe if freed on bail. The Todis' are accused of forcing Rizwanur to commit suicide due to his marital relationships with the former's daughter Priyanka Todi. Rizwanur, a 30 year old graphic designer with a multimedia firm, was found dead on Sep 21, 2007 near the railway tracks of Kolkata's Patipukur suburb, shortly after marrying Priyanka.

Rizwanur's family accused that the powerful Todi family is trying to eliminate the eye witnesses.
