The fashion week was conceptualised by Bollywood's experienced make-up artist and hair stylist couple Bharat and Dorris.
The event aims to give recognition to the make-up artists and hair stylists who otherwise remain backstage.
Both experienced and budding make-up and hair stylists participated in the event.
Dixit who inaugurated the event told reporters that the fashion week provided a platform for many artists behind the beautiful on screen faces.
"Today, everybody from kids to elders are conscious about their beauty, about how they dress and what they wear. And today by attending fashion week, I am feeling very happy that these make-up artists who were ignored personnel are given recognition. Fashion weeks are held for dress designers, but I think this is first time it is being organised for hair dressers and fashion artists," said Dixit.
Dixit returned to the screen after a six-year break in 2007 with movie based on dance, 'Aaja Nachle'.&13;&13;
