Washington, February 10 (ANI): After winning hearts and gong at the recent Grammy's, Jennifer Hudson is set to kick off her first solo tour.
The singer will share the road with R and B singer Robin Thicke when from April 2 in Philadelphia for a five-week U.S. tour that will see its finale in Houston on May 8.
"I am so grateful - my first Grammy and my first tour. It doesn't get better than that," People magazine quoted her as saying.
The Oscar-winning 'Dreamgirls' star will hop cities including Baltimore, Washington, D.C, New York City, Detroit, Atlanta, Memphis, St. Louis, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Dallas for her concerts.
Marking her return to the spotlight, the actress sang the U.S. National Anthem in front of millions of viewers at the Super Bowl on February 1 - her first public appearance after the brutal murders of her mother, brother, and nephew last year.
A source close to Hudson added: "It's a New Year, she's excited about performing again. She knew it was time. Fans can expect the Jennifer they've come to love. She just really loves to perform; it's who she is, it's what she does." (ANI)
