Mumbai, Feb 10: The life of Azam Amir Kasav, the lone terrorist caught alive in connection with the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks is under threat. A CNN-IBN report suggest that Mumbai police claims that underworld kingpin Dawood Ibrahim is planning to eliminate Kasav aka Mohamed Ajmal Amir Iman, as he is the key evidence in 26/11 case.

Mumbai Police commissioner Rakesh Maria said that intelligence report confirmed D-gang plot to kill Kasav. Also that Dawood has asked his second in command Chotta Shakeel to eliminate him. Kasav who is now kept in an undisclosed location will be chargesheeted this month end.

Police sources said that IB traced a internet conversation between a D-gang member reportedly in Pakistan and another member allegedly somewhere in Gujarat.

It is not clear now that whether the police will move Kasav to Mumbai's Arthur jail as it has inmates from both the Dawood and Chhota Rajan gangs.

Sources say that Kasav is kept in a very high security cell. His movement is constantly monitored through cctv 24/7.

This new report nails Pakistan's lie that Kasav is dead and also Mumbai attacks were not planned in their land. Also it underlines the fact the Dawood is very much behind the Mumbai terror strikes which killed nearly 200 people including 26 foreign nationals.

Ten terrorists allegedly from Pakistan entered Indian land through Gujarat port and attacked key areas of Mumbai on Nov 26 last year.
