New York, Feb 10 (ANI): Pop star Chris Brown's career is said to be in jeopardy following reports that he allegedly assaulted Rihanna, with Doublemint brand 'Wrigley' suspending his contract for the time being.
"Wrigley is concerned by the serious allegations made against Chris Brown," the New York Daily News quoted the company spokesman as saying.
"We believe Mr. Brown should be afforded the same due process as any citizen. However, we have made the decision to suspend the current advertising featuring Brown and any related marketing communications until the matter is resolved," he added.
While Brown's ultra clean image landed him the Wrigley contract, he seems to have hit the wrong notes by allegedly getting involved in a domestic abuse case.
Meanwhile, Brown has been released on 50,000-dollar bail, and is due to appear in court in March 2009. (ANI)
