Now, a giraffe named after Malia Obama!
Washington, Feb 8 (ANI): After dolls, it seems the animal kingdom is inspired by the First Family - a Buffalo Zoo has named a newborn reticulated giraffe Malia, after Obama's daughter.
And, according to a report in the New York Daily News, they aren't denying the connection.
The development has invited criticism from many areas, with people suggesting it's insulting that the zoo has named the giraffe after the first daughter, reports the Politico.
Recently, toymaker Ty discontinued the sale of dolls called Marvelous Malia and Sweet Sasha after Michelle Obama expressed displeasure with their names.
Malia the giraffe joins other giraffes named after Goldie Hawn and Clint Eastwood. (ANI)
