Nepal Cabinet meeting today
Kathmandu, Feb 4 (ANI): Nepal cabinet meeting is scheduled to take place today in the Singha Durbar.
The cabinet meeting is expected to pass some ordinances and take some decisions about the formation of local bodies.
The meeting was called after the seven major political parties agreed in principle to form local bodies based on the proportional system of votes.
The agreement was reached at the meeting of the task force including the ruling five parties and two opposition parties organised at the Ministry of Local Development (MoLD) on Tuesday.
The cabinet meeting will also discuss the issues of the 'Integrated Administrative Service Center' and security.
Earlier, the cabinet meeting was postponed twice consecutively. On Sunday it was postponed as the two major coalitions the CPN (Maoists) and the CPN (UML) could not reach consensus on the issuing ordinances, Nepalnews reported. (ANI)
