Shilpa Shetty joins IPL frenzy

Jaipur, Feb 3: After Shah Rukh Khan and Preity, Shilpa joins IPL frenzy. With Shilpa buying 11 per cent stake in the Rajasthan Royals more glamour has shot into Indian Premier League (IPL).

Bollywood beauty and London-based businessman Raj Kundra announced this in a press meet organised at Jaipur on Tuesday, Feb 3. They have invested $ 16.8 million (Rs 82 crore).

Rajasthan Royals is valued at about $140 million (Rs 683.32 crore). Shilpa called it a strategic business investment and said: "I completely relate to Rajasthan Royals. My story is similar to the team's journey to the top. It is an honour to be a part of Rajasthan Royals."

Rajasthan Royals won the IPL tournament last year.
