Octuplets' granny says her daughter was obsessed with having kids

Washington, February 1 (ANI): A Californian woman, who recently made history after giving birth to six boys and two girls, adding to her previous lot of 6 kids, was obsessed with having children, according to her mother.

Angela Suleman revealed that her daughter, Nadya, had undertaken a fertility program, and had embryos implanted hoping to have just "one more girl".

"And look what happened. Octuplets. Dear God," Fox News quoted her as telling the Los Angeles Times.

The octuplets' grandmum further revealed that her daughter had been bent on being a mother since her teens but was "not evil".

She added: "She is obsessed with children. She loves children, she is very good with children, but obviously she overdid herself."

Nadya had recently given birth to eight babies in a span of five minutes at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Southern California.

It is believed to be only the second time in history that live octuplets have been born and survived more than a few hours. (ANI)
