Hamid Karzai to pay a visit to Pakistan
Peshawar, Feb. 1 (ANI): Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai will soon visit to Pakistan, the Afghan Foreign Ministry spokesman Sultan Ahmad Baheen has said.
The Afghan President would soon pay a visit to Pakistan on the invitation of President Asif Ali Zardari, The News reported Baheen as stating to press.
The visit may hold significance considering the not so comfortable relations that the two countries are well-known to have shared till the recent past, especially during the President general Parvez Musharraf's regime.
Baheen said the visit of Afghan Foreign Minister Rangin Dadfar Spanta to Islamabad got President Karzai an invitation from Pakistan, "Spanta visited Pakistan to work out modalities and set the agenda for President Karzai's visit."
The agenda for Karzai's visit would include, the joint efforts against terrorism and enhancement of cooperation between the two countries at regional and international level. (ANI)
