Washington, Jan 27 (ANI): President Barack Obama kept a low profile during his first weekend at the White House, preferring to tour the building and its grounds.

The only time he was working was when he had an economic meeting that was made public on January 24, reports Politico.com.

The same afternoon, Obama and his wife Michelle, along with their body man Reggie Love, took a personalized tour of the building and grounds reported an administration aide.

The three were taken through the six stories and 18 acres that comprise 1600 Pennsylvania Ave by White House Curator Bill Allmann and Coast Guard Rear Admiral Stephen W. Rochon, director of the Executive Residence and Chief Usher.

The curator oversees the art and decoration in the White House with an eye on historic conservation while the usher is charged with overseeing the building's staff and day-to-day operations.

The only part of the building that Obama was familiar with was the gym, as former President Bush had showed it to him during his visit last year.

Obama also told reporters last week he's already burnt some calories there on the third floor of the presidential residence. (ANI)
