Noida: ATS shot dead 2 suspected terrorists
Noida, Jan 25: Noida Police and Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) on Sunday, Jan 24 intercepted and killed two suspected terrorists in Noida's Sector 97. Police sources said that the duo killed are suspected to be Pakistani nationals named Farooq and Abu Ismail and they hail from Rawalkot and Okara in Pakistan respectively. The suspects were on their way to Delhi from Ghaziabad. The operation took place at about 2.15 am.
The incident took just a day before the Republic Day. Police recovered two AK-47s, two hand grenades and a bag in the Maruti car in which the terrorists were travelling. They also recovered a Pakistani passport from the care.
One UP ATS contable is injured in the encounter.
Navin Arora, the Senior Superintendent of Police said that they had information that some persons were on their way from Ghaziabad in Maruti Van carrying arms and ammunition on way to Delhi. The ATS chased the alleged terrorists and tried to stop them. But they fired the ATS who then returned the fire.

create
havoc
and
tension
on
the
eve
of
India's
Republic
Day.
