JK: Army foils inflitration bid in Kanachak
Srinagar, Jan 25: Border Security Force (BSF) and Indian Army on Sunday, Jan 25 foiled an infiltration bid along the International Border (IB) in Kanachak area of Jammu Kashmir. They fired 4 terrorists who tried to infiltrate at around 2.30 am.
Reports
suggest
that
the
Indian
troops
noticed
a
group
of
militants
trying
to
enter
Indian
side.
Soon
heavy
firing
started
along
the
border
between
both
sides.
Following
the
firing,
militants
fled
back
to
the
Pakistani
side.
This
infiltration
bid
is
the
second
one
in
this
month.
Just
a
fortnight
ago
Army
had
a
fierce
encounter
with
the
militants
holed
up
in
Mendhar
of
Jammu
Kashmir.
The
encounter
which
lasted
8
days
claimed
the
lives
of
4
militants
and
three
security
personal
including
a
Junior
Commissioned
Officer
(JCO).
