Royal treatment to Raju in custody
Hyderabad, Jan 23: During their four-day custody, disgraced Satyam Chief Ramalinga Raju and his aides were treated royally, sources said. Raju was interrogated just for an hour a day and moreover CID police were not allowed to write notes revealed Ajay Kumar, public prosecutor in a city court.
He
told
the
sixth
additional
metropolitan
magistrate
that
the
interrogators
were
not
allowed
to
carry
even
pens
and
paper
inside
the
interrogation
room.
Whatever
transpired
during
interrogation
was
recorded
by
the
closed
circuit
TV
cameras
installed
in
the
interrogation
room.
He
was
interrogated
just
for
an
hour
every
day
during
his
four-day
custody,
prosecutor
told
the
court.
However
the
prosecutor
did
not
elaborate
on
the
issue.
CID was allowed to interrogate Raju and his aides from 10 am to 4 pm by the court. The prosecutor said that the interrogators had a tough time with Raju as he did not tell them crucial linking information which could speed up the investigation.
