Brit doctor fired due to drinking problems finds work abroad
London, Jan 23 (ANI): A consultant surgeon, who had been laid off work because of drink problems, has now found work abroad.
Dr Ramasankerpersad Jairam, who drank up to three bottles of vodka a day, has even admitted to drinking at work, and at times not knowing who he was, reports the Sun.
Cleaners at the hospital would find empty bottles in the orthopaedic surgeon's quarters every day, and he was suspended for a year by Coventry's Walsgrave Hospital and later fired.
The GMC in London said that he showed a "persistent lack of insight into the seriousness of his actions".
He now works in Holland. (ANI)
