Rajus, Srinivas sent to CID custody till Jan 22
Hyderabad, Jan 17: Hyderabad court on Saturday, Jan 17 sent Satyam's Raju brothers, Ex-CEO Ramalinga Raju and his brother Ramaraju and former CFO Srinivas Vadlamani for four days from Sunday, Jan 18 to Thursday, Jan 22 to Police custody.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate granted their custody to the state CID police, who had sought seven days detention of them for further questioning.
Ramalinga Raju's lawyer Bharat Kumar said "Metropolitan Magistrate granted police custody for Ramalinga Raju, Rama Raju and Srinivas from January 18 10 am to 10 am on January 22."
"Interrogation will take place during the day in the presence of representatives of the accused. Police will not use third degree investigation tactics. The accused should be provided medical treatment if required," he added.
Meanwhile on January 16, Raju had made an emotional pitch that the company faced a takeover threat from IBM and their likes, to avert which he wanted the board's support to diversify into other areas.
