Mumbai, Jan 14: Anita Uddaiya, a witness to the landing of terrorists on Mumbai terror attack eve, missing since Sunday, Jan 12, returned to her home. K Venkatesam, the Additional Commissioner of Police said that Anita, a resident of Fishermen's Colony in Cuffe Parade has come back to her house.
Polic sources said that she returned home at around 1:30 am. She was later taken to local police station. But they are still not aware where she had been since Sunday, Jan 14. Anita had seen the Mumbai attackers land in a rubber dinghy on the beach at the colony. She had asked the terrorists where they had come from, but was told to mind her own business.
After the gruesome Mumbai terror attacks on Nov 26, Anita Uddaiya was taken to JJ Hospital to identify the bodies of 9 militants killed in the 60 hours encounter. Anita deals scrap business. It was Anita's niece who noticed her absence and informed her daughter who is living in the neighbouring Thane. Later a missing complaint was filed with the police.
