New Delhi, Jan 13: Recruitment in Infosys has come to standstill due to lowered profits. The Company will be hiring the marked 27,000 people as they are already given offer letters. No further hiring will be done in Infosys, said Infosys Director of Human Resources, Mohan Das Pai. The Company also confirmed that the hired personnels' training period will extend beyond four months.
"We have hired people to whom we have made commitments. We are hiring only a few specialists. But general hiring has almost come to a standstill. So what is happening now is to make sure that all the commitments that we have made are honoured and people come in. We have also made sure that we extend our training. After people undergo the initial four months training, we are asking them to undergo another two months of training in another technology, in another language. We want to make sure that they become much more capable because we have a bench and utilisation is just about 74 per cent. We want to utilise people's times better and we are looking forward to better days," said Mohandas Pai, the Director of Human Resources at Infosys.
