Pak Police includes Hafiz Saeed's name in list of banned leaders
Lahore, Jan.10 (ANI): Authorities in Pakistan have put the name of Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, in the list of leaders belonging to terror outfits.
The Punjab Police have included the name of Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, along with four other Jamaat -ud -Dawa (JuD) leaders in a list of leaders of banned organizations, the Daily Times reported.
Saeed's name also featured in the list of terrorists which India handed over to Pakistan for extradition. The Indian list included names of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, and Masood Azhar. Azhar is the main suspect in organizing an attack on the Indian parliament in 2001. He was freed in exchange for the release of hostages on a hijacked Indian Airlines passenger (IC-814) plane in 1999.
The list released by the Punjab Police also includes names of 30 other suspected militants involved in extremist activities in Pakistan. (ANI)
